Apparently, even at a young age I knew the importance of wearing spandex while riding a bicycle.

This looks more like bowling than cycling. ;-p

Heres some pics from my battenkill experience. The gash- if you look close, is where a chain ring cut into the flesh above my left hip when I got run over by several other riders. You can actually see the teeth marks! Now, I continue to recover… On the bright side, I got to experience lots of new stuff- my first catscan, and the first time I’ve seen what it looks like beneath my own skin! The bike racer in me can’t wait to get back in the field again to lay down some race redemption.

Post Race Report: Chris Hinds Criterium 4/7/12

Overall, I have to say, an awesome race to start off the season and get the cobwebbs off before Battenkill. In the third lap, I was in the break, and went down when a rider cut very wide into the group, hitting Ellen Noble who was riding ahead of me, and causing the two of us, and one other rider to crash. I was able to get up, get to the pit, and use a free lap to straighten my bars, and my derailleur hanger, and get my brake back on straight in the front. After that I had so much adrenaline, I was all go. I was in every break, or soloed to catch every break, and really felt like I rode really smart, and effectively. In the end, despite the crash, I had a 6th place finish.
